To achieve this look, firstly it is important to cover the eye lid with LaGlam “flawless” concealer as a base for your eye shadow to stick on to. This is particularly important for a smokey eye as it can quickly get very messy! Secondly, it is recommended to put some LaGlam “Bridal veil” setting powder loosely underneath the eye to catch the excess shadow powder that may fall during application so it can be easily brushed off the skin (with a large powder brush) leaving no dark marks under the eye giving an unwanted “black eye effect” and ruining your foundation base.
Using the LaGlam bullet shaped eye shadow brush apply “Egyptian empress” eye shadow to the outer corner of your eyes going up and into the crease of your eye and forming a “V” shape on the eyelid, the point of the “V” being at the outside corner of the eye. When using LaGlam eye shadow remember a little goes a long way and because of the intensity of this colour it’s hard to fix if you go wrong so start off with a tiny amount and build up.
Next run your “Egyptian empress” along the bottom lash line with LaGlam small soft eye shadow brush. Then, using LaGlam large soft eye shadow brush apply your lighter shadow colour (in this picture “Tahitian princess”) to the centre of the eyelid up into the crease and merging into the V shape already created.
Next you will need LaGlam “Bedroom black” eyeliner which is easy to apply as its creamy formula glides on. Apply across the bottom lash line (go all the way for large eyes or just the outer corner for smaller eyes), then inside the bottom rim as well to create double the intensity. Next apply to the top lash line starting from the outer corner first. Slightly pull the skin taunt and start the liner out a touch further and higher than the eye (to create a lift to the eye) then work your way towards the lashes and along the lash line going all the way across towards the nose. Add 2-3 coats of LaGlam “Blackwater” mascara. Start at the base of the lashes working the brush left to right then up the lash. Always coat the bottom lashes first before the top so you don’t then look up and get mascara on your top lids! Then lastly, dab on LaGlam “Glitterbug” highlighter to the brow bone to illuminate starting underneath the arch in the brow and working down to the end. This catches the light to grab attention!
